Traditions, Luxury and Romance Await…
Adventure Associates invites you to discover three of the most authentic estancias in the Argentinean pampas near the capital city of Buenos Aires.
An estancia is a big piece of property that was once used (or may still be used) as a farm for breeding sheep and cattle. Generally, estancias consist of large pieces of land with a big house that dates back several centuries; it is usually surrounded by silos, stables and wineries, among other things. Nowadays, estancias have opened their doors to welcome visitors from all over the world who are looking to experience a typical Argentinian atmosphere. Estancias offer different activities to guests, such as but not limited to: walks, horseback riding, tours in horse-drawn carriages, bike tours, massages, folk dances, or just spending a nice evening next to the fire.
Puesto Viejo Estancia & Polo Club is set within a 250-acre estancia in the of Cañuelas near Buenos Aires and offers 10 ensuite bedrooms, a large dining room, a drawing room with a fireplace, a library with board games, and more! This estancia is also a polo club where visitors can watch a game or learn how to play.
About an hour away from Buenos Aires there’s Villa María. The most important Real Estate development in the south of Buenos Aires. Inspired by the Tudor architectural style, it was selected by the prestigious magazine Travel+Leisure as one of the best estates in South America. It offers 11 exclusive suites, gourmand restaurant, private lounge, bar, wine cellar, cigar room and billiards. This place combines the traditions of an estancia, comfort, service and luxury.
Another fine estancia is La Bamba de Areco located only 120 km from Buenos Aires and close to San Antonio de Areco in the heart of the Pampa. This is one of the oldest estancias in Argentina and showcases gaucho traditions by offering activities such as mate tasting and asados (BBQ’s). It offers 11 rooms and suites that are perfectly decorated with local textiles and modern art.
