Belmond Andean Explorer and Belmond Las Casitas

Belmond, the global collection of iconic hotels, trains and river cruises, has enhanced its Peru portfolio with the recently launched Belmond Andean Explorer – the first luxury sleeper train in South America – and the acquisition of Belmond Las Casitas in Colca Canyon.

The Belmond Andean Explorer train offers 1- and 2-night itinerary journeys between Cusco, Puno, and Arequipa (with views of Lake Titicaca and Colca Canyon along the way) while traveling on one of the highest train routes in the world.

With capacity for up to 48 passengers, this luxurious train consists of four types of cabins, each with its own ensuite bathroom and shower. Additionally, there’s a piano bar and an observation car where explorers can admire the surrounding landscapes while sipping on a Pisco Sour from the bar. It also has a boutique, a library, and dining cars where delicious Peruvian cuisine is prepared by the well-known Chef Diego Muñoz.

Some of the places that explorers will be able to visit during this exciting ride are: Cusco (the ancient capital of the Inca Empire), the majestic Lake Titicaca and its floating islands, the Sumbay Caves in Arequipa, and much more!

Belmond Las Casitas is Peru’s hidden gem. This secluded hotel consists of 20-individual bungalows located in the Arequipa region and offers one of the most unique experiences in a natural environment. Here, guests will have the chance to view Andean Condors. Each bungalow boasts a foyer, a lounge area and a spacious bedroom with a plush king-size bed. Bathrooms feature roman-style bathtubs and separate showers.

Indulge your senses with Peruvian delicacies at the restaurant or relax at Samay Spa with any of its revitalizing treatments and rituals, or grab a book and unwind at our library. If you are more of the adventurous type, take advantage of any of the hotel’s outdoor activities.
