Day 2 – Buenos Aires ( B / - / D )

City Tour (4 hs) Excursion

The tour includes attractions such as the 9 de Julio Avenue, the Obelisk and Corrientes Street. The first stop will be in the Plaza de Mayo so as to visit the Cathedral and the Cabildo (Old City Hall). After that, the trip will continue towards the most traditional neighborhood of Buenos Aires, San Telmo, which is characterized by its old colonial houses and the cobblestoned streets.

Later on, the tour will go to La Boca Neighborhood located in the south of the city. There will be a scheduled stop so as to look around the colorful zinc houses that make up this area of Buenos Aires and that used to be the refuge and home for the first immigrants and popular artists. Soon after, the vehicle continues to Puerto Madero – the old port of the city that was turned into one of the most exclusive gastronomic and residential areas in Buenos Aires. The tour will go to Palermo: one of the most extended areas in the city and where it is possible to find the popular woods of Palermo with more or less 300 ha (741 acres) of gardens and artificial ponds surrounded by elegant buildings. Finally, the last point in the tour is Recoleta, which is one of the most selected neighborhoods and where, among other attractions, the Recoleta Cemetery can be found. Also, there are bars, cafes and fancy restaurants that are worth a visit. Here will be the last stop so as to walk to the cemetery area and its surroundings.

At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel.  Later this evening, you will be provided a transfer from your hotel to Café de los Angelitos for dinner and a Tango show

Café de los Angelitos Dinner Tango Show Excursion

“Cafe de los Angelitos” is a live witness of more than one hundred years of Buenos Aires history with a parade of the most outstanding personalities of the political and artistic atmosphere from the 20th century.

The mystical coffee house, inaugurated in 1890 with name of Bar Rivadavia by the Italian Bautisto Fazio, became a meeting point for “compadritos” (swaggerers) and “malandras” (scoundrels) towards the end of the 19th Century. With rudimentary premises and a dirt floor, the place was a scenario for the verbal duels of gaucho minstrels Gabino Ezeiza, Higuito Cazon and Jose Betinotti

Remodeled again following an ambitious architecture project, conformed by three levels, it exhibits luxury and distinction every night with 21 artists that perform this live show.

Day 9 - Calafate ( B / L / - )

Discovery – Estancia Cristina Navigation

Estancia Cristina was founded in 1914 by Joseph Percival Masters, an Englishman who came to Patagonia with his wife in 1900. Having heard marvels about the Patagonian lands of Southern Argentina and being in search of a promising future, he decided to embark with his wife towards Buenos Aires, to later travel to Patagonia.
The Upsala Glacier is just a few kilometres from the Estancia and it is one of the largest in Los Glaciares National Park. To sail through the Argentino Lake among icebergs and mountains and then visit Estancia Cristina is an interesting combination of nature, adventure, history, and pleasure.

This full day program offers alternatives such as those who prefer a quiet day of touring and history as well as those who look forward to activities with adventure like trekking and riding a four wheel drive.

Boarding and departure will be at port Punta Bandera at 08.15 hours in a comfortable boat and you will be sailing among icebergs and stunning scenery overlooking the western front of the Upsala glacier and then through Cristina Canal. You will get to the disembarkation point, Estancia Cristina, at around 11:30am, then, you will have a guided visit to the Costumbrista museum located in the old shearing shed. After that, you will get on 4×4 vehicles so as to go uphill for about 9.5 km (5.9 mi) through mountainous roads and arrive at the Continental ice shelter. You will get off the vehicle and will hike for about 30 minutes. The views that you will get to the oriental side of Upsala Glacier, Lake Guillermo, Southern Patagonian Ice and Andes will be amazing. Then you will return to the farm house of the Estancia and board the vessel at 5:30 pm and will arrive at Puerto Banderas at 7:00 pm approximately.

At the set time you will be transferred to Punta Bandera port.
