Day 01 Quito
Escorted transfer between airport to hotel Hilton Colon. Baggage handling of two pieces of luggage per person at airport and at hotel is included.
Day 01/03 Hilton Colon Hotel
2 nights, Deluxe room.
Day 02 Quito city tour
A visit to downtown Quito to relish in this urban jewel and its treasures of art and architecture. Quito's colonial quarter, the largest and best preserved of South America, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stroll starts at the Independence Plaza, flanked by the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the Municipal Building and the Archbishop's Palace. There will be restriction to visit some churches on Sundays.
Dress in layers (T-shirt, blouse, sweater, coat). Take a sweater even if the day is warm and sunny. Rain protection advised in the afternoon. This tour includes walking at an altitude of 2800 meters (9200 feet) and climbing stairs. Sun protection (SPF 40). Good walking shoes. Entrance fees are included.
Day 03 Quito / Galapagos Islands
Shared transfer between hotel to airport. Baggage handling of two pieces of luggage per person at airport and at hotel is included. Assistance at the airport in Quito to take flight to the Galapagos Islands. M/V SANTA CRUZ, cabin assignment and introductory welcome talk. All activities on board will be announced via our P.A. system.
Day 03/08 M/V Santa Cruz
5 nights expedition, main deck cabin.
About the MV Santa Cruz: Travel Galapagos Island on-board the 43 cabin M/V Santa Cruz, built exclusively for Galapagos Islands cruising was completely renovated in 1998, having been redesigned and refurbished inside and out. The Santa Cruz has gained worldwide recognition for its excellent standards, including superb service, expert crew, the most knowledgeable multilingual naturalist/guides and menus that feature the very best international cuisine and celebrated Ecuadorian dishes. Its capacity is for ninety guests.
- Dry landing: guests step from the dinghy directly onto rocks or a dock.
- Wet landing: as the dinghy edges onto a sandy beach, guests step into knee-deep water and wade ashore.
Day 08 Galapagos Islands/Quito
Shared transfer to the airport to take the flight back to the continent. Arrival and shared transfer to the hotel.
Day 08/09 Hilton Colon Hotel
1 night, Deluxe room
Day 09 Departure from Quito
Escorted transfer between hotel to airport. Baggage handling of two pieces of luggage per person at airport and at hotel is included
